To comply with BACP guidelines around protecting client privacy and confidentiality in online counselling, we are trialling a system of using password protected attachments.
Password protected attachments should be used in any counselling correspondence and any in depth assessment correspondence.
To password documents:
Go to Tools > Options > Security
Password to open – insert password-
Save OK
Send the document to the person you want to read it.
Send a separate email with the password.
